Biography
Edwin Oscar Gale was one of the first non-native inhabitants of Oak Park, having moved there in 1866. He is remembered as a historian of Oak Park and Chicago. Gale lived at Lake and Kenilworth, co-owned the Gale and Blockie drug store, and was a member of Unity Church. At the time of his death in 1913, he was the oldest person in the area.
